Tracy Rosser Named White Cap’s First CSCO

ATLANTA — White Cap, a leading distributor of specialty construction supplies and safety products for professional contractors, welcomed Tracy Rosser to the new role of chief supply chain officer (CSCO). In this role, Rosser will maximize investments in White Cap’s transformational supply chain initiatives and lead the supply chain strategy for the company.

According to Alan Sollenberger, CEO of White Cap, “Tracy is an experienced supply chain leader who has executed transformational supply chain initiatives at a business of our scale and complements the strengths and knowledge of our senior leadership team,” he said.

“With more than 30 years of supply chain leadership experience from Walmart and Transplace/Uber Freight, Tracy will enable us to deliver efficient and reliable supply and delivery of products, while supporting our growth and innovation.”

Brian Anderson Joins Davis-Standard as CPO

PAWCATUCK, Conn. — Davis-Standard, LLC, a global leader in the design and manufacturing of extrusion and converting technology, announced the appointment of Brian Anderson as chief procurement officer. Anderson will assume global responsibility for Davis-Standard’s procurement and supply chain operations. He will oversee all aspects of supplier management, sourcing strategies, and cost optimization initiatives.

The company stated that before Davis-Standard, Anderson amassed 30 years of extensive experience in procurement and supply chain management, holding key procurement leadership roles with Duracell Inc, Robert Bosch, and the Marmon Group, among others. He also teaches supply chain courses at Elmhurst University in Greater Chicago.

With a proven track record of optimizing procurement strategies and driving operational efficiency, Anderson will play a vital role in Davis-Standard’s ongoing commitment to delivering exceptional value to its customers and stakeholders.

JLL Promotes Michael Raphael to CPO

CHICAGO — JLL announced the promotion of Michael Raphael to chief procurement officer to lead procurement activities globally across the company and manage annual procurement spend for both JLL and on behalf of its clients.

According to Neil Murray, CEO, JLL Work Dynamics, “As a member of the Sourcing & Procurement leadership team, Michael has built strong relationships with our suppliers and external partners,” he said.

“Sourcing & Procurement is at the heart of JLL’s sustainability program, and we recognize that a significant portion of our overall impact stems from our supply chain. Michael is dedicated to maintaining a sustainable global supply chain and ensuring that all our purchases make a positive contribution to the communities we serve,” Murray added.

The company stated that creating and maintaining a global sustainable procurement framework is part of JLL’s commitment to reducing carbon emissions on behalf of JLL and its clients. This includes having consistent policies and governance that determine how JLL engages with suppliers globally and that ensure compliance and alignment with ESG principles.

SIU Appoints Eric Dean Massey as Director of Procurement Services

CARBONDALE, Illinois — Southern Illinois University (SIU) announced the appointment of Eric Dean Massey as director of SIU Carbondale’s Procurement Services.

The university stated that Massey has nearly 16 years of experience with the department — first as a procurement officer specialist beginning in December 2007 and from March 2021 to October 2023 as a procurement officer supervisor. Before returning to campus, Massey was a contract compliance specialist with the Illinois Department of Transportation, beginning in November 2023.

According to Massey, “SIU Carbondale feels like home to me. I know the campus, the various departments, and the people. I look forward to working with the procurement staff, the vice chancellor for administration and finance, Susan Simmers, and the university’s vision and direction.

“Having the opportunity to come back to SIU as the director of procurement services and lead a procurement team is exciting.”

Tim Collins Joins Blue Origin as VP of Supply Chain

SEATTLE — Blue Origin has hired former executive vice president at Flexport, Tim Collins, as vice president of supply chain.

As reported in Tech Moves, Collins has decades of experience in operational leadership roles, including more than 20 years at Amazon during which time he served four years as vice president of global operations.

While most recently, Collins served as executive vice president at Flexport, he also held roles at Gopuff and Uber.

Collins says he’s excited about joining Blue Origin and its mission to send an uncrewed lander to the surface of the moon in the next 12 to 16 months.
