Binny Mathews Named CPO for Accenture

NEW YORK — Accenture announced that Binny Mathews took the reins earlier this year as chief procurement officer and head of the company’s Procurement Plus (P+) capability. Mathews will be responsible for leading the strategic direction for Accenture’s global procurement spend.

According to Mathews, “I’m excited to lead Procurement Plus and continue advancing Accenture’s global leadership in responsible buying, with sustainability, transparency, agility and inclusivity underscoring how we work with our suppliers around the world and across the marketplace,” he said.

Speaking on Mathews role, Margaret Smith, senior managing director and executive director of Corporate Services & Sustainability, Accenture, noted, “Binny will play a critical role in how we power innovation, growth and business continuity for the organization, ensuring that our global strategy is executed based on local demand, and that we lead with data-driven ways to deliver value.”

Dean Gordon Retires from Jack in the Box after 15 Years

SAN DIEGO — Jack in the Box Inc. announced the retirement of Dean Gordon, SVP, chief supply chain officer, after 15 years at the organization.

Jack in the Box Inc. stated that Gordon joined the company in February 2009 and has been pivotal in driving its growth and success. During his tenure, Gordon has spearheaded numerous cost savings initiatives and built invaluable relationships with the company’s franchise owners, suppliers, and vendor partners that propelled Jack in the Box Inc. forward through a global pandemic and the shared services integration of the Jack in the Box and Del Taco brands.

Gordon stated, “I am very grateful to have been a part of Jack in the Box Inc.’s journey for the past 15 years,” he said. “I am fully committed to supporting the company in finding the ideal candidate to lead us into the future.”

Gordon will remain with the company during the transition period to facilitate the knowledge transfer to the incoming executive. “On behalf of the entire company, I want to express our deepest gratitude for Dean’s tireless efforts and invaluable contributions,” said Darin Harris, CEO at Jack in the Box Inc. “Throughout his tenure, he has fostered a very talented and committed supply chain team who undoubtedly will continue his legacy and impact for years to come.”

Turpaz Industries Appoints Anna Corless Global Procurement Manager

HOLON, Israel — Turpaz Industries, which develops, manufactures, markets, and sells both directly and via its subsidiaries fragrance, sweet, and savory flavors and specialty fine ingredients, announced the appointment of Anna Corless as global procurement manager for the Turpaz Industries group.

Her primary focus will be on expanding procurement functions to support the Turpaz group’s growth objectives. Her appointment underscores Turpaz Industries’ commitment to bringing in top-tier talent to further enhance its position in the industry.

David Minx Joins Randall Foods as CPO

Kontoor Brands, Inc. Promotes Ezio Garciamendez to EVP, CSCO

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Kontoor Brands, Inc., a global lifestyle apparel company, announced two leadership appointments, including Ezio Garciamendez to EVP, chief supply chain officer. Tom Waldron joined  Garciamendez on the leadership team as COO.

The company stated that Garciamendez joined Kontoor Brands in 2022 as SVP, chief supply chain officer and has been instrumental in enhancing efficiencies and simplifying processes across Kontoor’s supply chain, including global sourcing and internal manufacturing. Prior to joining Kontoor, Garciamendez served as global operations SVP at Melaleuca as well as leadership positions at Procter & Gamble.

According to Scott Baxter, president, chief executive officer and chair of Kontoor Brands, “We are further advancing our operating model in conjunction with Project Jeanius to simplify our organization and increase speed and efficiency,” he said.
