Ardent Partners Hires Magnus Bergfors, former Gartner Analyst
New analyst to expand firm’s coverage in sourcing, procurement, CLM, and associated supply management areas, with a sharp focus on the technology marketplace.

Boston, MA – Ardent Partners, a leading analyst firm focused on supply management, today announced the appointment of Magnus Bergfors as vice president of research, overseeing its procurement practice. Since 2010, Ardent Partners, a next-generation analyst firm, has been leveraging its data-driven research to help business executives make smarter decisions and achieve better results.

Bergfors will lead Ardent’s procurement coverage, with a focus on key technologies including eSourcing, contracts, eProcurement, and supplier management, as well as emerging innovations and complementary solutions. Bergfors brings a wealth of experience from the practitioner, solution provider, and analyst roles that he’s held in the past. He started his career in a variety of procurement practitioner roles at companies such as AstraZeneca, Atlas Copco, and Scandinavian Airlines. He’s also worked for solution providers such as IBX, Basware, and most recently Keelvar. Most notably Magnus worked at Gartner for many years as the research director overseeing Procurement and Sourcing. In this role he authored multiple Magic Quadrants (“MQs”) and dozens of other research notes and reports. He was the lead author on the Gartner’s first MQ for P2P suites.
