Memorial Day in the United States has different meanings for different people. For many, it is a weekend to reflect on the sacrifices made by the men and women of our armed forces in defense of our liberties and national interests, and to pay our respects. For others, it is a chance to “hit pause” on our hectic lives and enjoy some down time with family and friends. It also happens to be the unofficial start of the summer, especially here in New England.
