UPDATE: Session 2: Prevent, Manage, Recover: Key Strategies to Execute a Business Continuity Plan is now available to VIEW ON-DEMAND
We follow up Tuesday’s Welcome Address (Watch On-Demand here – without registration), with a great presentation on Business Continuity Planning with Larry Williams, longtime (38 years long!) AP and P2P leader at Procter & Gamble and longtime (11 years long!) friend of the site.
Larry is going to leverage his experience as a P2P leader at P&G and share with us the key elements of a Business Continuity Plan (“BCP”). He’s also going to get very specific and focus on what businesses can do today to develop or refine their BCP quickly and then set it in motion.
In Larry’s view, these plans include a phase of risk management, a phase of crisis management, and a phase of business recovery. As he told me today, “every business and honestly, every person, is in one of these three phases.” The key is to understand the cycle and be ready to manage each phase.
This session will touch on supplier relationship management in a crisis as well as the value of AP and P2P automation during today’s crisis… so, if you are working in (or are interested in) AP, P2P, supplier relationship management, B2B Payments, and Shared Services or if you manage a large department, make sure you register today and hear us live or follow-up tomorrow and listen to it on-demand.
