Workforce Logiq Acquires ENGAGE Talent: Ardent’s Analysis

Yesterday morning, global workforce management solutions provider Workforce Logiq announced that it acquired ENGAGE Talent, predictive analytics and AI software company. The Charleston, SC-based platform, founded in 2015, is yet another welcome addition to Workforce Logiq’s innovative approach towards the greater contingent workforce management (CWM) industry.

Back in January, when the company rebranded from ZeroChaos, CEO Jim Burke told us that the Workforce Logiq branding was connected to “how we see the future of our company, which is leveraging technology and intelligence to be smarter about workforce planning, not just workforce execution.” The acquisition of ENGAGE Talent is a pure reflection of the solution’s firm commitment to innovation, and, more importantly, enabling their customers to enhance total workforce planning to drive enhanced talent-based outcomes:

  • The acquisition reflects the growing need for hiring managers, CWM program leads, and talent acquisition executives to drive real-time, AI-fueled insights for future workforce planning. ENGAGE Talent’s technological sweet spot (predictive AI-powered algorithms) enables users to anticipate talent supply chain gaps, analyze real-time global labor conditions, and develop deep talent-based scenarios for short- and long-term contingent and full-time total workforce planning. Ardent Partners research has found that, over the next 18 months, nearly 61% of businesses expect to leverage artificial intelligence and related technology to support its overall talent acquisition strategies.
  • By acquiring ENAGAGE Talent, Workforce Logiq adds more AI-fueled functionality to its already-stout technology stack. Workforce Logiq (from it’s rebranded get-go) touted its commitment to artificial intelligence and new means of harnessing the power of data, and has done just that with its MSP solution leveraging insights to support CWM programs and the many AI-led functionalities embedded into its proprietary VMS tool (several of which are patent-pending).
  • Workforce Logiq adds two unique solutions from the ENGAGE Talent suite: the Talent Retention Risk (TRR) Score and the ENGAGE 5D Profile:
    • The patent-pending TRR solution, besides providing intelligence to help users identify skill supply and demand gaps, leverages robust functionality to help hiring managers, HR leaders, talent acquisition professionals, and CWM executives (including procurement leaders) to better target one of the largest growing pools of talent across the globe: passive candidates. TRR’s billions of data points (including “employment volatility benchmarks”) can be utilized to gain intelligence into many market impact areas, including compensation rates, competitive trends, and other factors for predictive recruiting strategies.
    • The ENGAGE 5D Profile revolves around the concept of the candidate experience (as discussed in Ardent research as a prime element of the Future of Work), enabling users to leverage candidate-specific marketing/messaging to optimize talent engagement. What is also truly exciting about this solution is that it also leverages AI and deep “work environment” data to augment talent retention messaging.
  • What a difference a year makes. A little less than a year ago, the solution was known as ZeroChaos and considered a traditional provider of MSP services, VMS technology, RPO services, and more. In the span of nine-and-a-half months, the company not only rebranded itself, but truly transformed its solution to meet the evolving requirements of the Future of Work. On the heels of Workforce Logiq’s exciting new partnership with digital staffing provider Upwork (check out our conversation with Upwork CEO Stephane Kasriel and Workforce Logiq CEO Jim Burke on the Contingent Workforce Weekly podcast), the acquisition of ENGAGE Talent is another step in its “year of innovation.”

“Workforce Logiq is very excited to welcome the ENGAGE Talent team into the Workforce Logiq family,” said Jim Burke, CEO of Workforce Logiq. “With this acquisition, our expert advisors will leverage ENGAGE’s predictive analytics and AI software capabilities for real-time data-driven talent recruitment, retention, workforce planning and competitive insights.  It’s the edge our clients need to win and keep the best talent in a hyper competitive market.”

The Workforce Logiq executive team will be joining the Contingent Workforce Weekly podcast soon to chat about the ENGAGE Talent acquisition, what it means for their solution, how it will positively impact their customer base, its major market implications, and much, much more. Stay tuned!
