NIU Names Antoinette Bridges Director of Procurement Services and Contract Management

Last week, Northern Illinois University named Antoinette Bridges as its newest Director of Procurement Services and Contract Management, effective July 1. She is currently the Associate Director of Procurement Services and Contract Management, and in her new role will be responsible for all procurement and contracts management activities across the university. Antoinette came to NIU after serving for 24 years in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, most recently as Deputy Director of Acquisitions for the National Institutes of Health. Antoinette holds a Doctor of Management in Organizational Leadership from the University of Phoenix, a Master’s Degree in Purchasing, Procurement/Acquisitions, and Contracts Management from the University of Maryland, and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration.

Boeing Names Jenette Ramos SVP of Supply and Operations

Earlier this month, the Boeing Corporation (NYSE: BA) announced that it has named Jenette Ramos as its newest Senior Vice President of Supply and Operations, effective immediately. In her new role, Jenette now overseas the company’s manufacturing and supplier management operations, as well as its Environmental, Health, and Safety  (EH&S) program. She is also a member of the Executive Council and reports directly to Boeing’s Chairman, CEO, and President. Jenette is a 29-year veteran of the aerospace and defense heavyweight, having served the company in a variety of VP and director-level roles in manufacturing and supply chain over nearly three decades. Most recently, she was VP and GM of Boeing Fabrication. Jenette is a graduate of Harvard Business School, holds a Masters in Business from Seattle Pacific University and a Bachelor of Science from Washington State University.

John Temple Named VP of Contracts Management for Savannah River Nuclear Solutions

Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII), a major shipbuilder and government / defense contractor located in Newport News, Virginia, announced that it has named John Temple as Vice President of Contracts Management for its Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS) subsidiary. SRNS is one of several national laboratories that, in partnership with the U.S. Department of Energy, manages the country’s nuclear energy, weapons, and waste management programs. In his new role as VP of Contracts Management, John will oversee all of the company’s contracts activities, as well as interface, performance, and funds management. He began his career with SRNS over 40 years ago in the apprenticeship program, having graduated and advanced up the chain. Through the years he has served as Newport News Shipbuilding’s Director of Contracts and Pricing, and until recently, Director of Contacts Administration for SRNS.

Tata Motors Names Tom Flack Chief Procurement Officer

Tata Motors, the India-based automobile manufacturer whose brands include Land Rover, Jaguar, Fiat, and Daewoo, announced that it has named Tom Flack as its newest Chief Procurement Officer. Tom comes to Tata after 14 years at Ford Motor Company, having served in a variety of progressively senior purchasing positions, most recently as Global Purchasing Director, Raw Materials and Stampings. Tom earned his MBA in Marketing/Marketing Management from Michigan State University, as well as his Bachelors Degree in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management from Michigan State after beginning his undergraduate studies at The University of Pennsylvania.

Office Depot Announces a Pair of Supply Management Appointments

Office Depot, Inc. (NASDAQ: ODP) announced a pair of executive leadership appointments for its strategic sourcing and supply chain teams. First, it named John Gannfors as its newest Executive Vice President of Transformation and Strategic Sourcing. John previously served as VP of Global Supply Chain and Chief Procurement Officer at Lenovo, and has nearly three decades working in IT and information systems procurement. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from California Lutheran University. Office Depot then named Timothy Beauchamp Executive Vice President of Supply Chain, who has been with the company since July 2015. Previously, Tim served as Chief Supply Chain Officer at US FoodService, and held SVP of Operations roles at Staples and Corporate Express. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing from Michigan State University.

Christina Ruggiero Named CEO of Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages

Coca Cola India recently announced that it has named Christina Ruggiero as its newest CEO of Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt. Ltd. amid a large management reshuffling. Up until May of this year, Christina had served as Chief Procurement Officer for The Coca Cola Company in Atlanta, having been with the company for three years and previously serving as Vice President of Indirect Goods and Services. Prior to joining Coca Cola, Christina served in various procurement executive leadership roles at Diageo, first has Head of Procurement for Western/Eastern Europe and Russia, then as VP of Procurement Operations for Diageo Global Beer in Africa, and most recently as VP of Procurement. Christina earned a BS in Information Sciences from Marymount College, various graduate-level diplomas, and is a U.S. Navy veteran.

Santa Monica Seafood Hires David Harrison as VP of Procurement

In other recent news, Santa Monica Seafood announced that it has hired David Harrison as its newest Vice President of Procurement to lead and manage the company’s procurement department. Formerly a business consultant focusing on sourcing and procurement, Dave has over a decade of director- and VP-level experience in procurement, sourcing, and supply chain, plus years of distribution and managerial experience in the automotive industry. Dave earned his MBA in Finance from Michigan State University and his BA in German and Economics from Albion College.
