I am pleased to announce that the survey for our annual “State of Procurement and the CPO” report is now open. If you have 15-20 minutes to spare today or later this week to complete the survey, I would be most appreciative. By taking the survey, you have an opportunity to help advance the collective knowledge of the entire procurement profession AND get a full view into the current “State of Procurement” when the report publishes.

This 12th annual CPO report is one that I first started writing in 2006 and has become, in many ways, the defining report at Ardent Partners. Over the years the report has tackled various themes, including People and Spend Management (2006), the Rise of the CPO (2008), the Tough Times… of the global recession (2009), Procurement-led Innovation (2011), and Procurement Agility (2015), to name a few.
This year’s study examines the key “tools of the trade” that procurement organizations use to successfully drive their operations and performance. This year’s survey also asks questions to gain an understanding of your recent performance and overall focus for the year ahead.
Readers of this site know that the data we collect from the survey is used to define Best-in-Class procurement performance for 2017 and fuels many new articles on this site. The report will also have strong linkage to our 2017 CPO Rising Summit that will be held in Boston this fall (watch for our upcoming announcement). Anyway, I would greatly appreciate it if you or one of your colleagues could take sometime this week to participate (practitioners only). Thanks!
