European CPOs: Capitalising on the Best Opportunities

European CPOs: Capitalising on the Best Opportunities

Once again, we interrupt the “10 for 2010” series to highlight a webinar (free registration) that I will be participating in tomorrow that looks at the top opportunities for European CPOs in 2010. Here’s the official description taken from a recent PR:

It’s a new year and European procurement executives are beginning it with a fresh set of priorities. While driving cost reductions remains job number one, managing cash and mitigating supply risk have taken on increasing importance, according to the results of a new study from Aberdeen Group. On Thursday, January 21, Andrew Bartolini, Vice President/Group Director, Global Supply Management, Aberdeen Group and author of “European CPOs: Capitalising on the Best Opportunities,” will discuss the current challenges sparked by the slow recovery of the global economy during an interactive webinar hosted by Ariba, Inc. (NASDAQ:ARBANews), the leading provider of spend management solutions. He will be joined by Stephen Hayers, Vice President, Services Procurement, BT plc, one of the world’s leading providers of communications solutions and services, who will discuss the strategies that his organisation is executing to overcome these challenges. The live session will take place from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. GMT…..

I will be discussing the priorities and performance of European procurement organizations, and key benchmark metrics so participants can find out how their organizations compare.  The report mentioned above will be distributed to all attendees.

Depending on your native tongue, the full PR regarding the webinar can be found here, hier, ici, and här. The free webinar is targeted to European CPOs and as such starts at 9 am ET tomorrow. The webinar is sponsored by Ariba.

EDITOR’s UPDATE Jan 24: If you missed the webinar, it has been archived and you can listen to the webinar here, hier, ici, and här (free registration, in English only).
