(1) Thanks for both comments!

(2) This entire social networking space is changing at such a rapid pace that I'm not sure there is a blueprint for a best approach. And if there is, it may not be relevant for very long (ex: If you had told me two years ago that I would announce my resignation on a blog and then tweet about it to my linkedin network, I would have laughed). At the organization level, I think it makes sense to place small bets on a bunch of different platforms by encouraging different staffers to investigate, join, and participate in the different arenas and share with the larger team what their experiences have been and where the best information/value can be found.

(3) The relevance of social networking within procurement and all business cannot be denied. I will follow up with more posts on the topic and offer my thoughts. I would also love to hear what is working for individuals and organizations today.

thanks,

Andrew,

Very interesting prediction on the advent and leverage of Social Media! Have you developed or have access to any specific action steps that organizations and individuals must make to ensure that they are prepared for this change? If so, please share the same with this community to enable us to 'be prepared'!
