Before you head out for the holiday break, please join Ardent Partners’ Chief Research Officer, Andrew Bartolini for a complimentary webinar, New Procurement Toys for the New Year, on Tuesday, December 19th at 2 PM EST, sponsored by GEP. We’ve made a list and we’re checking it twice….

Whether they’ve been “naughty” or “nice” this year, all supply management leaders and their teams want to get their hands on the hottest, most innovative business technologies in the solutions market today. And why not? There has perhaps not been a more exciting time to work in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management than this holiday season due to the wave of technological innovation that has come online and still to come in the New Year.

Beyond the business technologies of yesteryear, like cloud-based solutions suites with mobile-first/mobile-ready applications, are “Industry 4.0” technologies, like Blockchain distributed ledgers and connected devices (the Industrial Internet of Things, or IIoT), that are tops for leading Chief Procurement Officers (CPOs) and other supply management leaders. Blockchain and IIoT are beginning to drive more visibility into global supply chains, and more insight into and control over global business operations. And 3D-printing is making the impossible possible for enterprising manufacturers who want to control their own destiny in the New Year. But wait! There are more “procurement toys” in the back of Santa’s sleigh.

Machine learning, Natural Language Processing, chat bots/personal assistants, and Robotic Process Automation are pushing human-to-computer interfacing closer to a reality that science fiction writers once deemed plausible only in paperback novels. Today, these “intelligent” or “smart” technologies (what many of us call “Artificial Intelligence” or “AI”) are being integrated into many business process automation tools, like sourcing platforms and supplier management dashboards, to enhance user interfacing and experiences and help to uncover previously hidden data. Speaking of data: advanced analytics, with their deterministic and search-based algorithms, are ingesting and analyzing “Big Data for procurement” to the point where enterprises can increasingly leverage it for greater visibility, predictability, and agility. They are helping supply management leaders see the unseeable and know the unknowable.

Want to learn more about these innovative business technologies and how they can drive visibility and value for you and your team in the new year? Join us on Tuesday, December 19th at 2 PM EST for a complimentary webinar, New Procurement Toys for the New Year, sponsored by GEP. Ardent Partners’ Chief Research Officer, Andrew Bartolini, along with Paul Blake, product technology marketing at GEP, and Matthew York, research analyst at Ardent Partners, will discuss the innovative technologies that can help improve your procurement department in the New Year.
