The Future of Work is Here (Part II)

There’s much to be said about the role of “talent” in today’s businesses. Many organizations sometimes forget that, in an era where differentiators can translate into pure gains, talent and special skillsets are true competitive advantages. Having top-tier talent as part of a critical project or endeavor, regardless if that talent is a full-time employee or a freelancer, can mean the difference between success and failure.

The caveat to this? Well, it’s simple: businesses can be focused on attracting, finding, sourcing, and engaging talent to give their organizations competitive advantages…it’s just that not enough of these companies understand the internal ramifications of today’s non-employee workforce if mismanaged, or, worse yet, ignored from a strategic corporate perspective. There’s a reason why the “future of work” revolves around the non-employee workforce: it’s flexible, relied-upon talent that can (and often does) support critical business projects.

Ardent Partners is excited to announce that its upcoming State of Contingent Workforce Management market research study, publishing in October, will not only highlight the issues companies face today in regards to managing their non-employee workforce, but also offer discussions around the key strategies, solutions, capabilities, and competencies that should be part of their contingent workforce management (CWM) programs.

The upcoming research study will discuss, amongst other items:

  • The evolution of today’s non-employee workforce and how its growth is actively impacting businesses across the globe.
  • The growing importance of a total talent management (TTM) or total workforce optimization (TWO) program to manage all enterprise talent under a single, centralized banner of processes, capabilities, and systems.
  • How collaboration among major business functions, such as procurement and HR, can transform contingent workforce management.
  • The role of automation and technology in taking non-employee workforce management into a new generation.
