About this year’s report:

Building on the tremendous success of previous versions of this annual report, which all have had participation of more than 250 procurement executives, our very own Chief Research Officer, Andrew Bartolini, will be back in action in 2015 to deliver another classically-written and structured market research report focused on the Chief Procurement Officer’s mission for 2015 and beyond.

This report will present a comprehensive, industry-wide view into what is happening in the world of procurement today by drawing on the experience, performance, and perspective of more Chief Procurement Officers and other procurement executives. The report will publish performance benchmark information and the strategies that Best-in-Class procurement departments use to gain an advantage in the market.

The report will also look at what is needed for procurement departments to break through to the next level of performance by focusing on the simple question: “What’s next for procurement?”

Last year’s report focused on the continuing theme of procurement’s convergence across the enterprise, as more Chief Procurement Officers find themselves working with, influencing, and being impacted by other stakeholders in the source-to-settle value chain. Now, CPOs’ convergence with AP/Finance, Human Resources, Logistics/Operations, and other stakeholders is a given. So, what’s next for CPOs?

Last year we had a great turnout and we’re confident that we can replicate it again this year. If you are a procurement practitioner and have enjoyed any of the articles on CPO Rising or any of the dozens of reports Ardent publishes each year, we invite and encourage you to participate in this exciting study – click here to take the survey.
