Introducing Payables Place

Stored in Articles, Events, General, Process, Procure-to-Pay, Solution Providers, Technology

For the past six years, the analysts (Andrew Bartolini & Vishal Patel) at Ardent Partners have been closely covering the ePayables (or AP Automation) market. During that time, we’ve published dozens of reports that have focused on technology trends and best practices, evaluated and ranked solution providers, and helped companies accelerate their AP transformations. In just the past few months, Vishal has published the ePayables SMARTSet (click here to access) and his banner market research report ePayables 2012: State of the AP Market – Not Broken, Need Fixing (available here and very soon on several other sponsor sites), and, of course, I just published our ePayables 101 series on CPO Rising.

Over the last year, I would argue that we have been more aggressive in covering the ePayables market than any other analyst firm; And yet, we are not satisfied – there is so much more that can be done. Today, we’re going to start doing more as we change the way that the ePayables market will be covered:

Ardent Partners Launches Payables Place

New Website Will Be Dedicated to Covering the ePayables Market

(AP) Boston/New York – June 18, 2012 – Today Ardent Partners, a leading research and analyst firm, announced the launch of Payables Place, a new website that will focus exclusively on the ePayables or Accounts Payable automation market.

The new website will cover the important news items and announcements in the ePayables marketplace, offer commentary and analysis from a globally-recognized team of analysts, and discuss and evaluate different ePayables solution providers. The site will also layer in Ardent Partners’ ongoing best practice and market research that is focused on driving operational excellence through the AP function.

“While many successful AP transformations have been driven by the introduction of technology and an improvement in processes, AP often remains an afterthought. In point of fact, AP is one of the least automated business functions within the enterprise today,” said Andrew Bartolini, Chief Research Officer at Ardent Partners and contributor to Payables Place. “Payables Place is designed to help change that by providing easy access to research, news, and analysis that can help AP departments make smart technology investment and usage decisions.”

“With the publication of the ePayables SMARTSet, Ardent Partners has been able to get usable tools and templates into the hands of hundreds of AP leaders seeking to drive automation initiatives,” says Vishal Patel, Research Director at Ardent Partners and the lead author of Payables Place. “This new site will allow us to dig even deeper into the ePayables solutions marketplace and offer our commentary on the latest trends and leading providers in the space.”

From time to time, we will continue to discuss ePayables on CPO Rising as we have in the past, but our new site will be ALL AP, ALL THE TIME. AP leaders and ePayables solution providers should reach out to Vishal to get more info.

Everyone else should take a minute or two to visit the site today – it already includes several new articles. As always, we welcome your feedback, so drop us a note.
