Great question, you say (but a horrible segue from the CPO Bracketology – back next time) and one that Ardent Partners hopes to answer in its upcoming annual AP market research report, ePayables 2012: The State of the AP Market. Vishal Patel, Research Director, Ardent Partners will be sharing some of the key insights gained from his forthcoming research effort.

Join this webinar being conducted with one of the firm’s partner’s sharedserviceslink.com – April 4th at 1pm ET.

The potential that AP groups have to reach a Best-in-Class status is very real and fairly straight forward once the initial steps of removing paper and introducing automation have been taken. A Best-in-Class AP operation has the potential to not only reduce processing costs but provide the enterprise with much needed visibility into invoice and payment data. These groups have successfully elevated their function into a strategic component of the company by aligning processes and systems to produce effective management information. Information that can enable treasury to improve its management of cash or help procurement to evaluate supplier performance and ensure contract compliance. However, taking an AP organization to a best-in-class level requires significant change management. A Best-in-Class operation is not built solely through automation, although it is a key enabler.

Our aim with this webinar is to provide a clear view of where AP organizations are currently in their initiatives and where they are focusing their efforts over next year or two in order to improve their AP operations. We will identify the top challenges being faced in the industry today and present a clear discussion of the key strategies and technologies that enterprises are utilizing to enhance performance and increase the value that AP can deliver.
