With a hat tip to Grantland, a new ESPN site, founded this year by a fellow HC alum, we’ve decided to offer up our own “YouTube Hall of Fame.” We will focus on Procurement (unlike Grantland which focuses on things on topics like the The Worst Music Videos of All Time, Worst Toys of the ’80s, and Movie Scenes We’d like to Sue For). Our first inductee is this clip with “friend of the site,” Howard Richman, when he was a procurement exec at Merck working for their Chief Procurement Officer, Richard Spoor, another “friend of the site.” Both have since moved on.

In the clip below, Howard explains the background/need and mechanics behind the procurement transformation that Merck initiated a few years ago.
